Versioning
The method can move. The issued report stays where it was.
char.io keeps three versions visible together: the station and setup, the method, and the issued document. Re-analysis uses the stored raw record. A new method version reruns history and shows which results moved. The report you already issued stays frozen.
Three versions
| Version | What moves |
|---|---|
| Station | Instruments, fixture, calibration, and settings. |
| Method | The recipe that implements the standard. |
| Document | The issued report. A regeneration is a new document. |
What you see after a revision
The new analysis sits beside the issued report. The diff names the results that moved and the ones that stayed. You decide whether that move is the analysis you expected. Nothing in the issued report is rewritten.
