Reports
char.io generates the report from the run. An issued report stays frozen.
A report is the document the next person reads: a table of parameters with their conditions, a typical value, and min and max when the run produced them. Each value links to its raw record and method version. The columns follow the measurement family you configured.
What a report holds
- The device and the station the run used.
- The method version and the standard it implements.
- Parameters, conditions, and values, each marked measured, guaranteed, limit, or empty.
- The reviewer who issued it.
Issuing
Issuing freezes the document. Generating it again creates a new version. A manual edit of a number is not a path in the product. A change belongs in the recipe, the template, or the configuration, and it produces a new report beside the one already issued.
